In All Things Christ Preeminent

As the official college of the Presbyterian Church in America, our foundation in the Reformed faith influences our academics, never sacrificing one for the other. Our board of trustees is elected by the General Assembly of the PCA, and this oversight ensures we do not stray from our Reformed heritage.

We train the next generation of faithful followers of Christ using the liberal arts as a way to make Christ鈥檚 name known here on Lookout Mountain, GA, and throughout the world, equipping students with the skills and experiences they need to lead successful lives and careers with godly purpose.

I begin my classes with a brief devotional from the Heidelberg Catechism or Westminster Shorter Catechism. There are so many places where the topics of the catechisms and scriptures apply to the discipline and practice of science! I see this as being critical to a right understanding of the context of science, not an 鈥渁dd-on鈥 to class. Our worldview, including our approach to science, needs to be saturated with the word of God. I love teaching in a place where Christ is truly regarded as preeminent in all things--including the field of science.
