Maclellan-Rymer Hall

Maclellan/Rymer Hall, affectionately known as "Mac," houses around 230 students on eight halls— four male (Sutherland, The Five Points, Lawrence, Suburbs) and four female (Rowan, Harambe!, Halcyon, Chi Alpha). Mac is a diverse community of students with a variety of passions and pursuits, united in their desire to follow Christ and foster a culture of hospitality that warmly welcomes and includes others.

Mac has many beloved traditions, from Mac Movie, a short film competition between the halls, to M.A.C. (Music, Art, Coffee), a talent showcase for Mac residents, and Open Halls, themed events hosted by each hall. Mac residents also love spending time with their brother/sister halls and often form formidable intramural teams. On weeknights, you’ll often find residents in the Caudle Room, the first-floor lobby that is the hub of Mac, studying, playing ping pong, or watching a movie.

The commons on each hall in Mac are great places to cook, study, watch the sunset, play games, exercise, or watch a movie. Each commons has a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven, sink, and ample cabinet storage space.

As a Mac resident, you’ll enjoy the largest rooms available on campus. Each room is approximately 12' x 12' and accommodates two or three people. Rooms are arranged in suites, typically consisting of one two-person room and one three-person room. Several suites include one two-person room paired with a larger five-person room (about 12' x 20'). Suitemates share a spacious bathroom and a central study room, which is approximately 12' x 9'. For more detailed room measurements and furniture information please review the floor plans below.

Whether you’re a musician, athlete, dedicated student, movie buff, board game enthusiast, coffee lover, conversationalist, coder, artist, or writer, you’ll find people to connect with in Maclellan/Rymer. We truly have it all—even the kitchen sink!
